It’s officially spring, with summer not far away!
The season for most summer fruits is relatively short although, with more berries being grown under-cover, we are seeing an extension at both ends of the season for these and this ensures our retailers and end customers make the most of these popular crops. Summer brings with it many different kinds of fruit, bestowing our taste buds with some of the most refreshing flavours of the year so, whether it's packing ice cold watermelon for the beach or lip-smacking cherries for a sweet afternoon picnic, here are my top five fruits to take advantage of during this summer season:
