1883

Jane Elizabeth Jenkins arrived in New Zealand from England and established J.E. Jenkins.

1925

Jenkins moved to new Albert Street premises and concentrated on manufacturing chemist labels.

1935

John Booth Parkinson (who was on the ship with Jane Elizabeth Jenkins) became principal shareholder and moved to Victoria Street premises.

1940

Jenkins portfolio was extended to include paper packaging, stationery, general book printing and label products.

1948

Tom Booth Parkinson joined Jenkins to take over the business from his father John.

1969

John Booth Parkinson passed away at the age of 92.

1972

Jenkins continued to grow and moved to the much remembered premises situated on Great South Road in Penrose.

1973

Tony McInness joined his father in law, Tom, bringing management expertise and energy to the company.

1980

The company became known as Jenkins Labels Limited and focused on the self adhesive market.

1983

Jenkins were appointed Australasian agents for Sinclair International, heralding the way for fruit labelling in New Zealand.

Jenkins centennial year.

1988

Formation of the New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board and subsequent launch of “The World’s Finest Kiwifruit “ Brand/label.

1990

Jenkins site in Mt Wellington, Auckland was purpose built.

1991

An Australian subsidiary was established - now known as J Tech Systems Pty.

1993

Tom Booth Parkinson passed away aged 82.

1994

ISO9002 accreditation gained.

1999

Extension of the building in Mt Wellington to house an additional 12,500 sq ft wing.

2000

March 31st Zespri Group Limited formed.

New machinery commissioned giving Jenkins capability into the film market offering shrink sleeve labels.

2004

New name and new look - Jenkins Group Limited updates its brand image.

NZ Kiwifruit industry centennial year.

2005

World Label Award for Ripesense.

2008

Jenkins celebrates 125th year.

2012

Jenkins Freshpac Systems introduce Enviro Pac®.

SIL develop compostable fruit label for Zespri.

BRC (international food safety standard) accreditation, a first in Australasia for a label printer.

2013

Jenkins Freshpac Systems relocated to Tauranga constructing a purpose built facility in Tauriko, Tauranga.

2014

Jenkins Freshpac Systems continue to be at the forefront of innovative horticultural packaging solutions and systems.

2018

GlobalPac Technologies Limited established. Joint venture between Jenkins Group & Van Doren Sales USA.

2019

Jenkins Group aquire an equity stake in CR Automation, Hawkes Bay.
