After many years with the Jenkins Group, Tom has the regional Market Manager role for Sinclair International taking in Australia, Korea and Japan.

Compliance and Training ManagerKate has a background as research scientist on commercial projects including innovation at Zespri, and holds a PhD from Massey University in Postharvest Physiology.
Kate joined the Jenkins team in 2006 as Chief Scientist for RipeSense© before moving to Continuous Improvement, Compliance and New Product Development for the Jenkins Group in 2009.
2013 saw Kate move to Tauranga to take the key role of Label Production and Process Manager with Jenkins Freshpac Systems. Her strong focus on processes and lean manufacturing were key mandates for the new plant in Tauriko.
In 2016, as the business looked at its next growth curve, Kate moved into a re-scoped role of Operations Manager, as we continue with the wins in production but add focus on supply chain support for the business and recognised increased compliance requirements.
2024 sees Kate move from Operations Manager to Compliance and Training Manager. This new position creates an opportunity for Kate to continue to excel in managing our Compliance and Health and Safety strategies. Kate’s passion for teaching and training will be key attributes in the second part of her new role which is to create a business wide training framework, starting with a training and capabilities matrix. This will be leading on to ensuring we have an appropriate training strategy to ensure our people are well equipped with the right skills to carryout duties safely and effectively.

Supply Chain ManagerAndrew joined Jenkins in June 2022 and is responsible for managing our sales inventory and supply chain. His previous employment was for a chemical distributor where he specialised in the logistics of dangerous goods. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2016.
In the weekend you’ll find Andrew mountain biking in the Redwoods or spending time at the beach.

Sales Manager - ConsumablesAnn has been with Jenkins for over 15 years, starting as Customer Service Supervisor.
Ann’s role is Sales Manager Horticulture Consumables where she is the key point of contact between Jenkins Freshpac Systems and our customers; answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.
Ann has a wealth of knowledge in horticulture labels, adhesive and wineglass tags, strapping and strapping tools. She is also our resident expert in retail packaging consumables including, Topseal Punnets, Sormabag, Ecopunnet, Flowpac, Netting, Punnets, Enviro Pac® compostable trays, Elastitag, Retail Packaging Equipment.

Account Manager - Tags and LabelsJo joined Jenkins Freshpac Systems in 2016 managing our general label enquires, Zespri program co-ordination and ElastiTag® Products.
Jo has a solid sales, management and operational background, brings the ability to react quickly to our customer's needs and delivering results under pressure. Jolene works with all enquires from horticulture labelling and tags through to the very diverse range of products within the ElastiTag® portfolio. Equipment Sales EngineerOriginally from Christchurch, Karl did his apprenticeship back in the early 2000's with Wyma Engineering as a Maintenance and Diagnostics Engineer (fitter/welder in the old terms) making post-harvest equipment for washing and packing carrots and potatoes. He then progressed off the tools and into various sales roles with Mico Metals and Wurth before ending up in Tauranga after the earthquakes in 2011. Karl had a season with Seeka Oakside during the first lockdowns on night shift as a Line Manager getting his first major introduction into the kiwifruit industry. He joins the Jenkins team after coming from a Key Account Manager role with Open Doors.
When he is not working, he is running around after his 2 young kids and trying to find time to get into the water either waterskiing or surfing and loves to get up into the mountains for some skiing during the winter.

Sinclair Programme CoordinatorChrissy joined the Jenkins Freshpac Systems customer services team in 2012. Prior to joining Jenkins, Chrissy held various logistical and customer services roles.
Chrissy maintains and co-ordinates the Sinclair International kiwifruit and avocado fruit label programmes. She is also Jenkins customer liaison contact, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of fruit labels direct to packhouses throughout New Zealand.

Sales Support CoordinatorWendy joined Jenkins Freshpac Systems in January 2017 in a support role for the sales and administration teams.
Prior to Jenkins Wendy worked in the fire alarm industry for 12 years in customer services. Wendy's role saw her manage compliance of alarm systems, repairs, routine testing and planning work schedules on a day to day basis for the service technicians.
Wendy had a short break from the fire alarm industry in 2015 joining the Bay of Plenty Regional Council in their Contracts and Procurement team. This 7 month contract gave Wendy perspective to step away from the fire industry and into a new career at Jenkins Freshpac Systems.
Wendy has a strong focus on customer service and enjoys being part of the team.

Regional Manager - Lower North IslandMark joined Jenkins in 1991 as a service technician in the Hawkes Bay. Mark's early years were spent installing and servicing Sinclair labelling equipment throughout pack-houses in the lower North Island as both the apple and kiwifruit industries were committed to labelling their product.
In 1995 Mark became Area Manager heading up a professional service team that are focused and committed to installing and servicing Sinclair labelling equipment and Sorma packaging machinery. The team covers a wide area including Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Waiarapa and Wanganui.
Marks personal interests outside of work are boating, fishing and rugby.

Chairman, Jenkins GroupLachie Johnstone has been appointed to the Board of Jenkins Group Ltd.
Lachie has a commerce background having completed a B.Com from the University of Auckland and worked as an accountant before taking on a variety of different roles in the commercial and rural sector.
He is a shareholder in Waimaha Farms Ltd, in the western Waikato and is majority shareholder of the food logistics company Wholesale Frozen Foods Limited.
Lachie is currently Chairman of Farmlands, Centreport Ltd, Centreport Properties Ltd, C. Alma Baker Trust (NZ) Ltd and Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors at Kings College.

Managing DirectorIn January 2018, Cameron was appointed to the new executive role of Director of New Ventures & Innovation. This role is tied into Jenkins Group’s strategic initiative to grow its portfolio of businesses and products.
Cameron was appointed to the board of Jenkins Group in 2013 after holding a number of roles across the business. He joined the Jenkins Group in 2002 and his most recent role was GM of J-Tech Systems based in Albury, Australia (2013-2017). He has a background in general management and prior to that in new product commercialisation, first with Sinclair International in the UK and then at Jenkins Group with RipeSense®, the world’s first ripeness indicator.
Cameron holds a BMS in Marketing from Waikato University.
Melissa Yates

DirectorMelissa was appointed to the Jenkins Group Board in 2016. Melissa has worked in a number of Jenkins companies over the past 20 years in a marketing capacity, currently working with the Jenkins Freshpac Systems team in Tauranga and with Jenkins Group head office in Auckland.
Melissa holds a BBus in Marketing and Management.

DirectorFollowing a series of senior international marketing and management positions within the New Zealand Kiwifruit Industry, Tony became involved in the printing and labelling Industry as International Marketing Director for Sinclair International in 1994.
In 1999, Tony returned to New Zealand to head up Jenkins Group, and has been immersed in the general labels and packaging business in both New Zealand and Australia focusing on new business growth ever since. When the Group established Jenkins Freshpac Systems, Tony was appointed Managing Director.
Tony holds a BSc from Massey University, has completed the NZIM Advanced Leadership Programme and has a Certificate in Company Direction from The NZ Institute of Directors. He is currently President of Printing Industries NZ and is a Director on the Jenkins Group boards in Australia and New Zealand.
In September 2024 Tony Sayle retired as Managing Director of Jenkins Group Ltd. Tony will remain with the Company in a governance role as Director. Cameron McInness has replaced Tony in the role of Managing Director.

Independent DirectorGrant is a long-term resident of Tauranga, and holds several positions across his fruit processing and international consultancy operations, as well as board positions on the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce and his consultancy operations. He is also the current chair of the Marketing Professionals Bay of Plenty.
Grant holds a Management degree in Marketing (backed by operations) and has over 25 years of global sales and manufacturing experience. His capability is wide ranging, from development of start-up businesses through to implementation of international aid programs in fragile and conflict regions in the world. Grant brings the Group strong governance capabilities, printing, packaging and manufacturing experience along with global trading experience.
