Covid Stars

It doesn’t seem that long ago when I wrote my last article which was ‘wrapping it up for 2019’ however, as we all know the world has forever changed over the last six months and we are adjusting to our new normal. My family feels extremely lucky and grateful that we got to spend Christmas holidays in Canada with family and finish off the trip with a stop in LA to take in all the theme parks before heading home. Who would have thought that in a short pace of time we would be dealing with a global pandemic? My heart goes out to friends and colleagues from around the world that have suffered and experienced loss because of Covid-19.

Like yourselves we have been working through the ‘lockdown’ and subsequent alert levels and I would like to thank you our customers for your support, understanding, patience and collaboration during these times when the supply chain was under enormous pressure. This truly is a great industry where we get to work with many amazing people, who are passionate and committed to the long-term success of our industry.

One of our products Packnatur®’ cellulose net tubes made of Lenzing Modal Beechwood Cellulose that was being introduced pre-covid-19 really got to stand out during these tough times.

Not all fibres are created equal and understanding all the different types can be a minefield to navigate. However, Packnatur® net tube cellulose we provide from VPZ is made from Lenzing Modal® COLOUR Fibre for vegetable nets which has home composability and food contact certification. When looking and sourcing cellulose netting products it would be prudent for you to sight not only the home compostable certification but also the food contact certification as not all products hold food certification.

Packnatur® is not the only sustainable product we offer, so check out our other products and keep an eye out for our soon to be released E Book. Below are examples (as inspiration) for any future packaging developments …before getting in touch with me, of course.

Take care, be safe and stay kind.
