Strong business partnerships are crucial in these times. In my category of labels, tags and more recently printers I feel so privileged for the solid and successful business partnership of Sato NZ and Jenkins Freshpac. I know over the years I’ve talked about our relationship with this Global team but the last two years, for me, have truly cemented our combined customer commitments.
When your supplier relationship is just an extension of your own colleagues, you know you’re partnered with a winner. Through these tough times the open channels have allowed us to manage the situations put upon us by every hurdle that we’ve all had to face so far and still face daily.
I always want to deliver to my customers, and a few years back I must have been more than a little demanding on suppliers, thinking that there was always more they could do to get products for my customers in time, after all FMCG categories, horticulture, fruit & vegie growers and packers’ products can’t wait. It’s simply no longer a thought that crosses my mind now that the team at Sato could do more, people could work longer, put on another shift, employ more staff, they could use a more diverse range of freighting options. All that is being done, and I know when I have a timeline or expected date for a despatch you simply can’t push any harder, everything is and has already been done to deliver in part or in full to keep our customers operating.
I am hugely excited about the opportunities ahead, I’m becoming quite the “printer lady” with a complete product range from little desk courier label printers, packhouse units and of course the success stories of the linerless along with the big boys of print engines and every other printer related work horse application that Sato empowers me with. Labels and tags still excite me too, why you would say? Because they are crucial carriers of information of your product to the world. I care about what you do and how you do it.
When the going is tough, you work with people you trust. I hope your experience with the Jenkins team allows you to feel that way. We truly are in this together.
Take care people. I’m so enjoying starting to travel again nationally. Hope to see you soon.
