The best thing for me about getting to this time of the year is thinking about how I can do better for my customers next year.
I have met and visited so many honest and hardworking people this year, I feel so lucky. What an awesome job I have to be able to play a small part in the passionate business that is horticulture, getting the best product to the consumer, be it global or local. Being part of that process is such an honour.
My biggest challenge is… time. I really need a thirteenth month - both at work and at home. The great thing about Christmas is that, when that final email is sent, the final piece of paper tidied and filed, and hugs and goodbyes said, most people can shut off until our workday starts again in the New Year. I am lucky enough to be able to return rested, full of happiness and good times spent with my family, lots of laughs, way too much food and wine, but a very full soul.
Bring on 2020, it’s been talked about as the “big one” so let’s all make it a smasher.
